According to the complainant, her cousin fired two shots at her mother, then he fled the scene. It isn’t clear if the alleged incident occurred inside or outside the property.
At 2:45 a.m., police were searching the apartment building and touring the neighborhood, looking for the suspect.
Someone, presumably the 911 caller’s mother, was bleeding. However, investigators weren’t sure if the victim’s injuries were caused by gunfire.
Authorities are still investigating.
These couple of 4plus1 buildings have a history of trouble. The landlords don't care who they rent to, it's all about the money, not about the resident's background. It's time that ALL the Alderman start holding these building owners responsible for their tenants. The more shady characters that are let in these buildings, the more trouble there is in the neighborhood. We do have an ordinance on the books about building owners like this. Follow through on it otherwise, there is NO point in having an ordinance.
