A CTA passenger was shot near, or on CTA property, said police.
A person - whose sex, age, and condition were not disclosed - told police they were shot at the 95th/Dan Ryan train station at 14 West 95th Street, some time around 2:44 a.m.
As of 2:47 a.m., authorities were still trying to determine if the shooting occurred on the “L” platform or at the street level.
According to police dispatch reports, the victim wasn't sure where the shooting took place.
Around 2:34 a.m., in a seemingly unrelated incident, a woman was reportedly found several blocks away, lying in the street on the 9700 block of South Prairie Avenue.
According to the 911 caller, the woman had been shot.
No further details are available.
