Police are looking for a crook who stole a skateboard from a north side sporting goods store and fled the scene in an awaiting vehicle.
The theft occurred around 5:50 p.m. at Windward Boardshop at 3317 North Clark Street, near the intersection of Clark and School in Chicago's Lakeview community.
Based on video evidence provided by the sporting goods store's surveillance camera, the offender is a Hispanic man in his mid-twenties, about 5’10”, and approximately 160 lbs. He was last seen wearing a black and yellow windbreaker and jeans.
Police said the thief fled the scene in a black, older model, four-door vehicle with front bumper damage. The license plate on the alleged getaway car is H925455.

This is a GREAT shop. I've known the owners for oh, 30+ years. They're pretty nice people. To bad bad things happen to so many nice people. Pretty ballsy grab & dash, that's for sure.
