A woman on Chicago’s north side was almost arrested after claiming to be the victim of domestic violence.
Around 6 a.m., a woman in Uptown dialed 911 after her boyfriend allegedly kicked down her door.
The emergency call originated from an apartment in the area of 800 West Buena Avenue, near the intersection of Broadway and Buena.
According to police dispatch records, the woman told a 911 operator that her boyfriend busted down her door, and fled the scene carrying a gun. Reportedly, there was a newborn baby in the apartment.
When police arrived at the scene, a female officer said the alleged victim was “highly intoxicated”. The officer also said the complainant was angry, because her boyfriend allegedly stole her wallet from the apartment.
The so-called victim also took back her statement that her boyfriend was armed with a gun, said one source.
After being interviewed by authorities, the complainant said she never saw a weapon - even though her previous 911 call indicated her boyfriend was armed.
A male officer, possibly a sergeant, threatened to arrest the woman for making a false police report.

"carrying a gun"...That was the words to use to get the cops there in a hurry and she knew it. She should have been arrested for a false report. Imagine the manpower that would have been used looking for this "armed and dangerous" person.
ReplyDeleteTowanda, I hear this kind of stuff ALL THE TIME.
