Police are investigating a double-shooting in the Northwest Side Chicago, Humboldt Park neighborhood.
At approximately 10:20 p.m., two people were struck by gunfire on the 4200 block of West Crystal Street, near the intersection of Crystal and Kildare Avenues.
A female victim, who was sitting in a white car at 4243 West Crystal, was reportedly shot in the face. An officer at the scene said the woman was in "bad shape".
A male victim was also shot at 4250 West Crystal. Authorities believe the injured man lives at that address.
Witnesses said the shooter was driving a black, older-model, Buick Regal.
Several shell casings were found in the area.
UPDATE: The woman who was shot and killed in Humboldt Park, has been identified as 19-year-old Margarita Navarette. She was a nursing assistant student.

Were these victims innocent bystanders or intended victims? Either way, no one should have to become a victim like that. Where is our sense of morals and conscience? Where is our sense of right & wrong? We are in deep trouble in this country for sure!

ReplyDeleteMadeline Murray O'hare and her "crew" assisted with the moral decline. Since then, "many" have grown up without a conscience. :(
