Toddler Found Wandering Chicago Edgewater Streets Alone?

At 5:49 a.m., a citizen reportedly found a small child wondering the streets of a north side Chicago neighborhood; alone.

An African-American girl, believed to be 3-years-old, was found near the intersection of West Bryn Mawr Avenue and North Broadway Street; which is approximately 5500 North Broadway.

The man who found the little girl said the child was dressed in her pajamas.

As of 6 a.m., there have been no further updates on the little girl, and I have not been able to confirm this information.

  1. What's with all these little children getting up and wondering around or wondering away from their PARENTS? The child who goes for a "snack", this one and the child who fell down an elevator shaft. That's 3 this week. What the hell are the parents doing and where are they? How can a person sleep like the dead and NOT here the door open or close when these children get out? Better yet, do they not have LOCKS on their doors? Sheesh! This child, like the "candy" child are lucky children to be seeing another day with all the crazies in this city.

  2. I was hoping to get more details on this story, but I was pressed for time.

When I heard about this incident my heart skipped a beat. Chicago's streets aren't safe for an adult, let alone a small defenseless child.
