Man Stabbed to Death in Chicago's Bronzeville Neighborhood

Late yesterday evening, a man was stabbed to death in a south side Chicago neighborhood.

January 8, 2011, around 9:30 p.m., a man was stabbed on the 4300 block of South Michigan Avenue in Chicago's Bronzeville neighborhood. Unconfirmed reports indicated the crime occurred at 4343 South Michigan Avenue.

Based on information provided by the police, the brutal assault happened in the hallway of the Bronzeville apartment building.

The victim was taken to Stroger Hospital in extremely critical condition. Preliminary reports from officers at Stroger suggested the stabbing victim died from his injures.

Copious amounts of blood were found at the crime scene.
