Man Shot in the Mouth

A man was shot in an alley in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood on the west side.

The shooting happened around 9:57 p.m. in the alley behind 315 North Lockwood Avenue, near the intersection of Lockwood and Fulton Street.

Preliminary reports indicate the shooting victim was shot in the mouth.

Authorities said the victim was working on a Dodge Durango in the alley when he was shot. Because of the victim’s injuries, police were unable to get a description of the shooter.

Police believe the suspect is armed with a 22 caliber handgun.

The victim was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital.

  1. Ok, I'm just a little confused on this one. How did that ghetto thug get that close to the victim to get that gun in his mouth? I sure hope that victim will be ok. I can't even imagine that.

  2. There are some very, very cruel people in this world, and most of them seem to have guns!

An officer said the victim appeared to be working on a car when he was shot. If he was on the ground, the gunman could have stood over him and shot him. If the victim was leaning forward and was under the hood, the victim may have turned sideways to address the gunman, and was shot in the face.

  3. Here's a thought. maybe the innocent people in this city should be in their homes by the "witching hour" which is now 9-10 o'clock and these criminals can go around shooting each other...we could try it for a week at least..that way, there would be less of them to "hunt" us. Kinda like a boycott! On the other hand, this gives up our rights to be out & about whenever. What the hell can we do? Where are political leaders? Surely they know about all these crimes you report Timothy?! We need help here!

  4. But what about the people who work night shifts? What about the woman who has to leave work, take the bus across town to pic up her kid, then stop at the grocery store for food?

We need more cops on the streets. We need more responsible parenting. We need stiffer crime laws. And we need to have the right to carry a concealed weapon.

  5. I was being facetious darling:) Wouldn't it be nice if ALL the things you mentioned were enacted? Maybe more cops will come, I'm not sure about responsible parenting and I bet we're going to lose the death penalty. I'm afraid that because of Tucson, people being allowed to carry a concealed weapon may have taken a huge hit.

  6. That's right! The death penalty in Illinois is on the chopping block! If the death penalty is taken off the table in Illinois... LOOK OUT!

  7. Chicago Breaking News is saying the man was shot in the CHIN and the wrist. It's sounds like the vic raised his hand to protect his face.

  8. The death penalty is gone! :(

For Christians, prayer is required, for wise political leaders :), not the same Democratic Machine phonies :(.

Like Corazon Aquino said in 1986, it's time for people power political parties! :)
