Two people were robbed at gunpoint, just steps away from the CTA, Addison Red Line "L" station, at 940 West Addison Street.
The armed robbery occurred around 3:40 a.m., in an alley near the intersection of West Addison Street and North Fremont Street, in Chicago’s Lakeview/Wrigleyville neighborhood.
Police said the victims were approached by an African-American man in his twenties, wearing a gray hoodie and a black hat. The suspect brandished a firearm and stole a wallet and a cell phone. No cash was taken.
After the robbery, the offender told the victims to face westbound, and run for their lives.
Neither victim could tell police which way the suspect fled the scene.
See, this is what happens when the generation of thugs currently roaming our streets forget about what the prior generations fought so hard for...it's called civil rights. Now these thugs think it's their American right to take what isn't theirs. No wonder this city is so racially divided, the thugs create the prejudice towards ALL black people because all other cultures are sick of this "what's yours is mine" mentality. No wonder the prisons are filled to the rafters with these black thugs! No wonder people want them to stay in their own neighborhoods. The truth hurts but the facts speak for themselves. Always the same MO, "african american".

I never used to be a racist, as you put it, until I started seeing the city I love go to hell in a handbasket by the thugs roaming our streets. Go ahead, count how many of these articles say "African-American" as opposed to white or hispanic. The truth fricking hurts and YOU can't stand that people are not afraid to call it like it is. I'm sick of being "political correct". The only way any of this will change is if parents start teaching their children the value of human life, respect and manners and STOP letting them roam all over this city at all hours of the night preying on hard working, taxpaying and contributing citizens. I am referring to the black thugs and black parents who don't give a rats ass, NOT the black people who are TRYING to do the right thing. If that strikes a cord with you..check out the mirror and stop using racism as a means for avoiding the truth!
