Around 10:27 p.m., an armed robbery occurred near the intersection of West Augusta Boulevard and North Mayfield Avenue, in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood.
Police said two African-American men armed with a black semiautomatic handgun, robbed a citizen of a necklace, cash, and a silver Boost Mobile cell phone. After the robbery, the thieves fled the scene in a red four-door Pontiac.
The passenger’s hair was styled in dreadlocks and he was wearing a tan jacket.
Around 10:35 p.m., police stopped a vehicle matching the description of the getaway car.
A very astute officer gave police dispatch the stolen cell phone’s number and instructed her to call the phone. When the phone rang, officers placed both suspects under arrest.
I love happy endings.

Brilliant! And a semi-automatic weapon to boot. Hope they do a long time!
