Police are investigating a shooting that occurred at 6001 West Diversey Parkway in Chicago‘s Belmont-Cragin neighborhood on the northwest side.
The incident was reported at 10:44 p.m.
The driver of a red Jeep was struck by gunfire. After being shot, the victim managed to drive several blocks to the intersection of Diversey and Central Avenue, where the vehicle came to a complete stop.
Police are looking for two suspects, possibly Hispanic men, driving a dark-colored box-styled Chevy vehicle. The back windows are tinted.
The shooter has a stocky build and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a red t-shirt underneath.
According to one source, the shooting victim may be deceased.

Great story, but I wonder if you meant Central ave. not "Central park". That's seems like a long ride from 6000 W. Diversey, but then again you never know.

ReplyDeleteChicago Breaking News: 34-year-old Cesar Salgado, who lived on the 6000 block of West Diversey Avenue, was pronounced dead at 11:38 pm at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center.
