David Blake + Bernard Williams + Blake’s Girlfriend = 1 Messy Murder Cover-up?

Police arrested 18-year-old Bernard Williams and charged him with the November 22, 2010 murder of 45-year-old off-duty cop and Chicago police SWAT team member, David Blake. The shocking charges were announced December 29, 2010, late in the evening.

The story presented by the Chicago Police Department flies in the face of  reality and common sense, and I am utterly astounded by the public’s willingness to devour whatever slop is put before them.

So, let’s examine the facts and in the process, weed out the fiction. I’ll start with Blake’s beard alleged girlfriend.

On Facebook, she is known as  Browneyez Lifeofadiva. I have not been able to confirm her first name, but her last name is Ingram. Ms. Browneyez is Shaneed Sturghill-Ingram‘s sister.

A few days ago, Sturghill-Ingram told me Blake was not gay and before his death, Blake was dating her sister. When I asked Sturghill-Ingram if her sister didn’t mind sharing her man with gay or bisexual men - our communication came to an abrupt end.

My question was reasonable. After all, Blake’s Facebook profile clearly states he was interested in men - a fact that no one in the media is addressing. And the photo of Blake and Ms. Browneyez looks so forced and unconvincing, it’s like watching a chicken impersonating an elephant.

Look at the expression on Blake’s face. Look at his body language. Does Blake look a man who is comfortable with grabbing a woman's hips?

Bernard Williams. Is this 18-year-old boy a murderer or a sacrificial lamb? The Chicago Police Department has spun a tale so fantastic - so magical - so convoluted - Disney should turn it into a movie.

According to several mainstream media outlets, Williams and Blake used to lived together. Yet, none of these so-called journalists haven’t questioned why an 18-year-old boy was living with a 45-year-old man. If Blake’s initial’s were M.J., we’d be up to our eyeballs in salacious headlines.

I spoke to one of Williams' friends, who asked to remain anonymous. He said Williams is no angel and that he isn't surprised the 18-year-old is in trouble, but he is shocked that Williams has been charged with murder. Williams' friend told me that he wasn't aware that Williams knew Blake.

The motive.

If Williams' plan was to steal Blake’s extension cache of guns, why did he leave Blake’s gun behind after he allegedly shot him? If Williams was that desperate for weapons, he certainly wouldn’t pass up the opportunity to take a dead man's gun.

The location of the crime scene doesn’t jive with the police department’s story. Let’s say Williams wanted Blake’s arsenal of weapons - why not meet Blake at the location where his guns were stored? Remember, Blake did not leave near the area where he was killed.

Although, I have to admit that Williams, who lived on the 2500 block of West 81st Place, lived suspiciously close to the crime scene on the 2900 block of West Seipp Street.

While discussing this case with a friend, and pondering the idea of doing a follow-up story, I was confronted with another motive for Officer Blake’s murder.

What if Blake and Williams were lovers? What if Williams actually killed Blake? What if Williams went to Blake’s apartment not to steal his guns, but to destroy embarrassing information/photos that linked the two "romantically"?

Regardless, none of those scenarios address the alleged text message linking Officer Theodore Browning to Officer David Blake. And it certainly doesn't explain why Browning was allegedly exchanging text messages with a cop he didn't know personally.

I’ll keep digging until I get to the truth.

  1. Timothy, you know I don't believe the "slop" that's ever put in front of me and I suspect a lot of the "anonymous" comments in the last article are from cops themselves. I think your reporting and investigating are spot on. That picture actually looks like a force "prom" picture and almost looks like she may have been a he..or maybe a drag queen.
Great point on leaving the so called murder weapon..are his finger prints on it? What about the cigarette left in his mouth? How many people know what that actually means? From the beginning, I thought this was too fishy. The CPD has a gay float in the gay parade, why would him being gay be an embarrassment to the CPD? On the other hand, can't have one of their own killing another cop..hmmmm

  2. towanda, the media, along with the Chicago police dept., seem to be doing everything they can to paint Blake as a straight man. Not one report has mentioned Blake's Facebook page. I wonder why.

A source contacted me last night with more details. The explanation provided explains why the cops don't want the truth to come out.

The info found on Blake's computer touches a lot of people's lives. And I mean a LOT.

  3. You'll get to the bottom of it I'm sure Timothy. Just be careful.

  4. I don't think the police department is as concerned about the story of a gay murdered cop as it is about a gay murdered cop sleeping with and having a relationship with a Gangster Disciple. I think that's the real cover-up.

  5. Elaine you might be on to something. A gay cop sleeping with a known gang member is a bit embarrassing.

  6. Ok, I don't know where the "known gang-member" statement came from because all the articles I've read haven't mentioned that. Where did you find this statement? Not all young black men are "ghetto thugs" or gang bangers so, if that was made in a statement in the media, where? Otherwise, we all know what "assume" means.
Also, if that was the case, the kid WAS a "known gang member" than I'd say they sure would want to cover this up. Not cool, but as we all know, we are "innocent until proving guilty" so please let this article know where that statement was made otherwise that comment sounds like a "judging a book by it's cover" statement.

  7. Sorry, I JUST read the "gangster" comment on the Sun Times..FIRST time I have heard that mentioned. Even when Weis gave a news conference the other day, he DIDN'T mention that. Hmmmm

  8. Yep. Allegedly, Mr. Bernard Williams is a GD aka Gangster Disciple. That adds another layer to this convoluted story.

  9. Ever since Dave Blake was murdered there has been swirling Internet gossip regarding the possibility of another officers involvement. And what's with the cover up? The CPD made contact with the officer in question the very first night, which is policing 101 because he called 911. He was brought in and questioned, along with his wife but never arrested. You act as though that information should be randomly released to the public. But why? During an investigation all kinds of people can be brought in for questioning though not necessarily as suspects. So, to release a name to the public is damaging to that individual. That officer is still a working member of CPD. Superintendent Weis is the same guy who turned over a case to the FBI, that had already been adjudicated, for civil rights violations and Cozzi is now doing federal time. Weis came in for the purpose of policing the police and that has been his platform from day one. He is not the guy to spearhead a cover up.

  10. Investigations are not conducted through the media. The results of the investigation are presented to the State's Attorney or to the grand jury for an indictment. Then at some point the case is tried and that is when the public is privy to the information. Why should this be any different?

  11. Bernard Williams is approximately 5'3" and weighs about 110lbs wet and has the mentality of a 12yr old. I noticed that the news photos are blown up making him seem as if he is a large guy.Id like to know if his finger prints were found at the scene? If Bernard Williams did this he could not have done this alone. . .

  12. A male cop sleeping with a man is embarrassing for them. This is sad. But the truth will set you free. All them skeletons coming out of the closet keep digging.

So being gay is a smear?! Who knew?!!!!

  15. Wow, now you're a body language expert? Who cares what happened to this guy?

  16. I know them personally, and if you don't you should not assume. Judgement is not for you. This picture depicts him as he was all the time. You all have no knowledge about these individuals. Clean your own houses out before you trash others.
