At 2:23 a.m., a shooting was reported at 1551 West Division Street. An Internet search shows the address belongs to a club called Evil Olive.
Police said three Hispanic men in a black Acura were responsible for gunshots fired at the West Division Street address. According to one officer, one of the men involved in the shooting represented himself as a member of the Cobras, a Chicago street gang.
At 2:23 a.m., police located a female victim who said she had been shot. An ambulance was called to the scene. At 2:35 a.m., an officer announced he needed a another ambulance for a second victim.
Witnesses said the vehicle involved in the shooting was last seen headed southbound on Milwaukee Avenue. The car’s back window is smashed out and police said other windows on the vehicle may also be damaged.

Wicker Park USED to be the "IN" area for the younger crowd..seems it's becoming or has become just another gang controlled neighborhood. MORE COPS=LESS CRIME!
ReplyDeleteI remember when Wicker Park went through its gentrification process and everyone was breaking their necks to move into that neighborhood. It looks like they'll be breaking their necks to move out.
