Man Robbed at Gunpoint Near Lakeview Cleaners

Around 5:32 p.m., a man was robbed after leaving a cleaners on the 3000 block of North Southport Avenue in Lakeview. Although the name of the cleaners was not mentioned, a quick search of the area shows Fine Cleaners is located at 3059 N. Southport Avenue.

The robbery victim told police he was approached by two Hispanic men in their twenties or thirties. Both suspects were described as 5’2” to 5’4” and 150 to 175 lbs.

The gunman was wearing gray pants and had a thin, pencil mustache. Both men spoke in broken English, with a thick, Spanish accent.

The thieves stole the victim's wallet, cell phone, and keys. They were last seen running eastbound from Southport Avenue.
