Deadly Fire: 1752 W. Cullerton

Some time after 4 p.m., a deadly fire practically consumed a four-story apartment building at 1752 West Cullerton Street, on Chicago's west side.

The fire ravished the second, third, and fourth floors; and spread to a nearby couch house behind the property.

Two people were taken to the hospital in serious-to-critical condition. A third person, believed to be a 3-year-old boy, died in the fire.

The fire was extinguished around 5:30 p.m.
