Man Removes Denver Boot, Flees the Scene

A Chicago Department of Revenue employee called police, after a man removed a Denver boot from his vehicle and fled the scene.

The illegal boot removal occurred around 3:15 a.m.,  on the 100 block of North Paulina Street, in Chicago’s West Town neighborhood.

The Dept. of Revenue employee described the offender as an African-American man in this thirties. The suspect fled the scene westbound on Lake Street, in a black Cadillac.

In October, several news sources reported that Chicagoans were getting fewer parking tickets, but more cars were being slapped with the Denver boot.
