According to the Chicago Sun-Times, the Independent Police Review Authority (IPRA) has decided 2 Chicago police officers accused of beating a man on the south side on November 4, 2008, should be suspended.
The alleged display of excessive force was reportedly caught on camera.
IPRA said the officer who struck the suspect in the head, followed department guidelines. Even though, according to their investigation, the suspect hadn't touch the officers when they assaulted him.
However, it is being recommended that this officer serve a 20-day suspension, for not reporting the officer who struck the suspect in the face.
The officer who struck the man in the face, could face a 60-day suspension.
The question is: will Police Superintended, Jody Weis, comply?
