School officials at the Otoole Elementary School, 6550 S. Seeley Ave., called police after students reported seeing four “high school students” in a nearby alley with a gun.
The situation was brought to our attention at 9:10 a.m.
At 9:14 a.m., police were on the scene and questioning four suspects.
After speaking with the school’s security guard, police determined they were holding the wrong suspects. The offenders they were looking for were older; presumably, 16 to 17-years-old. One of them was wearing a green vest.
Police are still investigating the incident.
