Blue Line Bomb Scare: Suspicious Package at Belmont/Kimball

A suspicious item was reported on the CTA Blue Line this morning.

At 4:42 a.m., a concerned citizen dialed 911 after spotting an unattended black and orange backpack or book bag, at the Belmont/Kimball train station at 3355 West Belmont.

In the wake of the explosive devices found on several UPS cargo airplanes and our heightened sense of security, more than likely, CTA is going to shut off the power to the Blue Line and contact Chicago’s Bomb and Arson Unit.

So get ready for those delays!
