Woman with a Knife Arrested on CTA Red Line

4:46 a.m. --- Several passengers reported a woman on a CTA, Red Line platform, waving a knife and threatening people.

The incident occurred at the 47th Street, Red Line station at 220 West 47th Street on Chicago's south side.

The knife-wielding suspect was described as an African-American woman, 5’3”, approximately 130 lbs, wearing a gray hoodie and carrying a black purse.

At 4:52 a.m., police announced that the woman was in custody.
