This morning, around 4:45 a.m., the 7-Eleven at 58 East Lake Street, in Downtown Chicago, was robbed.
When the store clerk tried to press the hold-up alarm, the thief struck the employee.
The suspect is an African-American man, 5’8” to 5’9”, and was last seen wearing a black shirt and black pants. He fled the scene westbound on Lake Street, towards the Red Line subway.
Police say the crook got away with $200.00.
