An African-American “Consensus Group” comprised of various religious and community leaders, gave Sen. James Meeks two, big thumbs down. Now, the Chicago Coalition for Mayor must decide between Carol Moseley Braun and Larry Rogers, Jr.
Brian Zises, Meeks' communications director, didn't seem phased by the rejection.
"We're not too concerned. It doesn't come as a surprise. We don't know who that coalition is speaking for," Zises told the Chicago Sun-Times.
