Woman Falls 4 Stories at Palmer House Hotel, Dies

This morning, a Halloween party at a downtown hotel turned deadly.

Chicago Breaking News is reporting that a 23-year-old woman at a Halloween party at the Palmer House Hotel, 17 East Monroe Street, has died.

According to the news report, the woman tried to slide down a railing or banister, and lost her balance.

Tragically, she died at the scene.

Because I have stayed at the Palmer House many times and have attended several parties there, I believe the woman may have fallen from the staircase that leads to the ballroom, which is on the 4th floor.
