Liars figure, but figures don’t lie. That is, unless they are manipulated.
If it’s one thing I can’t stand, it’s being lied to. When someone lies to me, it’s an obvious sign that they think I’m too stupid to recognize when I am being scammed.
And speaking of lies and scams… the Chicago police department; better yet, the Chicago police department’s Superintendent, Jody Weis, has issued another boldfaced denial, disguised as an official report. Its findings? Overall crime is down in Chicago.
Really?! Maybe in Bizzaro World, where up is down and down is up. But back here in Gotham City - not so much.
According to the latest installment of “I’ll say anything to keep my job”, overall crime is down 4.5 percent and violent crimes have dropped 11.5 percent in Chicago. But tell that to the residents of Englewood and South Shore; where senior citizens are shot to death in broad daylight, while walking to the grocery store.
For the past two months, I have logged a barrage of shootings on Chicago’s south and west sides. Some of the shootings never make the news. It’s almost as if they never happened.
Which brings me to a very critical point. If a crime is not reported/written up by a police officer, it didn’t happen. If someone robs you at gunpoint, and the police never show up, or show up and refuse to write a report - then you might as well have imagined the whole thing. Because, like I said, if it’s not on paper - it didn’t happen.
And what about the way the crimes are being counted? Did you know that if one man shots 5 different people, it’s counted as one incident?
All I can say is, if crime is down in Chicago, then so is the truth!

do you have any idea how many times cops lie about investigating a crime and never show up? happens more than you know. that's certainly another way to keep crime down. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThere's another way to keep crime down. People should stop having babies and forcing the taxpayers and the judicial system to raise their unwanted children.
ReplyDeleteYou hear all this talk about what the police should do, but you never heard about what the citizens should do. Namely those who are creating most of the crime. African Americans are a small percentage of the residents in Chicago, but they are responsible for most of the crime. And don't give me any of that race card BS either.
