Pho Viet, Vietnamese Uptown Restaurant, Closed After Failed City Inspection
Pho Viet, a Vietnamese restaurant located at 4941 N. Broadway, in Chicago's Uptown neighborhood, has been shut down.
Authorities say the eatery failed to make necessary changes after several violations were discovered during an October 5, 2010 inspection.
When inspectors returned to the Vietnamese restaurant on October 13, 2010, they discovered mice, insects, and a leaky roof - that was dripping water onto the stove, cutting boards, and other food prep areas.
The restaurant can reopen after changes have been made.
