Man Duct Tapped & Beaten in Sauganash Home Invasion; Son Unharmed

The purported owner of a jewelry supply store on Jeweler's Row, was badly beaten in his home on the 6300 block of North Kildaire Ave., in Chicago's Sauganash neighborhood.

The brutal home invasion happened on October 27, 2010, between 9 p.m. and 9:20 p.m., said police.

The 57-year-old man and his 14-year-old son were bound with duct tape. According to CBS Chicago, the father was kicked and beaten, repeatedly. The 14-year-old was not harmed.

The 57-year-old man was taken to Saint Francis Hospital in Evanston in serious condition.

Thieves managed to get away with jewelry, silverware, and other "miscellaneous items".

No arrest have been made, and as usual, no description of the offenders has been released.
