Latrice Long-Payton. Police Booking Photo. |
Indianapolis, Indiana --- Killing her wasn't enough... someone stuffed her body in a garbage can, and left her there to rot. Literally.
According to Latrice Long-Payton's family members, the 30-year-old woman had been missing since September 26, 2010. Latrice's sister, Sterling Long-Payton, said when she tried to file a missing persons report, police refused to look for Latrice, because she was wanted for a traffic violation.
When Latrice was finally located, a local news station's cameras were rolling when her dead body was discovered crammed into a garbage can.
As investigators removed the debris covering Long-Payton's body, the stench of death filled the air.
And even though 28-year-old Joseph Coleman and 32-year-old Samuel Taylor have been arrested in connection with Long-Payton's murder, the victim's family members aren't sure police have the right men behind bars.
