Austin Home Invasion: 900 N. Lawler Ave.

At 1:51 a.m., a home invasion on the 900 block of North Lawler Ave., in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood, was reported.
The 911 caller said a man forced his way into a neighbor’s home, and was holding several children at gunpoint.
A subsequent 911 call indicated that 5 African-American suspects were involved in the crime.
According to a witness, 2 of the 5 men were wearing navy blue hoodies; the others were dressed in all black. Some of the assailants were wearing ski masks.
The men fled the scene westbound in a “red, Chrysler 300C“.
According to police, no one was injured.

This crime occurred in Austin, not Humboldt Park.
