This morning, arsonists set multiple fires and caused property damage in Chicago’s North Center neighborhood.
Police say an estimated 15 to 20 garbage cans and dumpsters were set on fire.
The fires were set in the allies near West Grace and North Leavitt Street; West Byron Street and North Hoyne Ave.; and on the 3800 block of North Bell Ave.
According to police, a fence in an alley behind the 3800 block of North Bell Ave., was completely destroyed.
At the time of this report, police had one suspect in custody. Initially, they were looking for two offenders.
