Police say a woman was punched in the face on the CTA Blue Line.
The incident occurred around 8:35 p.m. at the Austin Blue Line station, 1050 S. Austin Blvd., in Oak Park.
The victim said she believes the man was attempting to rob her. After the assault, the assailant fled the scene eastbound.
He was described as an African-American man, wearing black pants and a black hoodie.
