Chicago for Rahm Emanuel: New Website

President Obama's former chief of staff is getting his political ducks in a row.

Rahm Emanuel's new website, www.chicagoforrahm.com, is a clear indicator of his intention to run for Mayor of Chicago. In fact, a formal announcement will be made on his blog, Sunday.

In the About Rahm section of the website, readers are reminded of Emanuel's ties to Chicago's Lincoln Park, Lakeview, and Uptown neighborhoods:

"Prior to his role in the administration, Emanuel served three terms in the House of Representatives representing Chicago’s 5th District, which includes the Old Town, Lincoln Park, Lakeview, and Uptown neighborhoods. While there, he proved to be a strong, effective voice for Chicago neighborhoods.

Emanuel was a fierce advocate for Chicago families, serving on the House Ways and Means Committee, which oversees taxes, trade, Social Security, and Medicare. He also served on the Subcommittees on Health and Select Revenue."

  2. HE ALSO HAS TIES TO OBAMA. THAT'S ENOUGH TO TURN ME OFF - FOR GOOD. SO FAR I DON'T SEE A CLEAR WINNER. RAHM MAY HAVE THE MONEY AND THE RECOGNITION, BUT HE IS ALSO CARRYING OBAMA BAGGAGE.
