Avalon Park Man Grazed by Bullet

Some time after 7 pm, a man was struck by a bullet on the 8200 block of South Ellis Ave., in Chicago’s Avalon Park neighborhood.
Apparently, police learned of the man’s injuries after he walked into a hospital for medical treatment.
The officer who interviewed the shooting victim said the 27-year-old man was grazed by a bullet, while standing on the sidewalk near the 8200 S. Ellis address. The bullet grazed the man’s upper, left arm.
The victim is being treated at St. Bernard's Hospital (326 West 64th Street) and is said to be in good condition.
