The battery allegedly occurred at the Wilson L stop, located at 4600 North Broadway in Chicago’s Uptown neighborhood; an area that has been plagued with violence, lately.
The victim said that a “drug dealer” broke her finger and that she would be waiting for police at a nearby payphone.
No description of the "drug dealer" was provided.
At 4:53 am, the victim was speaking to the fire department. An officer was asked to return to the scene. The responding officer said the victim wasn't there, when he initially arrived.
The woman was refusing to leave the scene until she spoke with police and pressed charges against her attacker.
