A man and a woman were shot in a nearby alley. The male victim was shot in the groin and the female victim was shot in the upper-left, chest area.
An officer on the scene described the victims' condition as "fair".

According to police, the assailants fled the scene on two bikes - headed southbound from Truman College, going towards Target. They were armed with 9 mm handguns. Police recovered 7 bullet casing at the crime scene (Wilson and Kenmore). One round (bullet) was lodged in a door at 1004 West Wilson Ave.
The official address given for the crime scene was 1029 West Wilson Ave.
Police say several people witnessed the crime and were cooperating with investigators.

ReplyDeleteI think Target should have picked a better location. I can't see myself shopping at that store and then being mugged on the street. Uptown is just too dangerous for my taste.
