Suspected Man With A Gun, Apprehended Near Curie Metro High School
9:40 am -- Someone called 911 and reported a male Hispanic with a gun, threatening to kill the students, or random citizens near Curie Metro High School; located at 4959 South Archer Avenue, in Chicago's Archer Heights neighborhood.
The 911-caller said that after threatening people on the street with his gun, the suspect got nervous and hid the weapon in a gangway near Pulaski. Moments after the 911 call was made, police stopped the alleged offender, who was dressed in a brown jersey, blue jean shorts, wearing a black hat, and head phones.
As of 9:55 am, Chicago police officers were still looking for the weapon.
At 9:57 am, a railroad employee called 911 and told dispatch that he saw someone hiding in the bushes, north of where the suspected gunman was captured.
10:16 am: No weapon found.
