The crime happened on the 800 block of North LaSalle Boulevard. The gunman is described as African-American. I have no information on his physical description, approximate age, or what he was wearing. However, the victim did manage to tell 911 that the thief brandished a black semi-automatic handgun.
Citizens in the area are urged to use caution and remain vigilant.
