1:17 am -- A man working on a bridge traversing the Chicago River, near 400 West Washington, reportedly fell into the water.
A subsequent 911 call indicated that the worker did not fall into the Chicago River, but fell into the “pit”.
At 1:27 am, Marine Unit 5 called to confirm that someone was actually in the water. According to police dispatch, witnesses said the man fell on the ground - not the water.
No word on the man’s condition or how he fell. If you have any updated information on this occurrence, please leave the info in the comment section.
