Cabdriver Robbed in Uptown, Chicago's North Side

Late this afternoon, around 10 pm, a Chicago cabdriver who picked up a fare at a North Kimball Ave. location, was robbed after his passengers reached the intersection of Sheridan and Lawrence, located in Chicago's Uptown neighborhood.

The passengers, an African-American man and an African-American female, robbed the cabdriver at gunpoint; taking his cell phone and $700 in cash.

The male suspect was wearing a white shirt and black, baggy jeans. His height is unknown, but his approximate weight is 170 lbs. The female passenger was said to be in her late twenties or early 30’s.

As the thieves fled the scene, the cabdriver heard the female suspect ask the male suspect to meet her at the “same location”.

Cabdrivers in Uptown should use extreme caution when picking up passengers fitting the aforementioned description.
