3 Arrested After Attempted Robbery Near North Side Marathon Gas Station

Marathon gas station: 2346 N. Western Ave.

Three African-American suspects are in custody after attempting to rob a 25-year-old man near a Marathon gas station, located at 2346 N. Western Ave., on Chicago's northwest side.

At 2:25 am, an employee at the station reported the attempted robbery. The victim said 3 men approached him and one of them pulled a gun.

Two of the suspects were captured on the 2300 block of West Belden Ave. The third suspect was apprehended on the 2200 block of the same street.

The offenders were 14, 16, and 19-years old. Police say the gun used in the failed robbery was a BB gun.
