A concerned citizen called 911 to report 20 African-American men, one allegedly with a gun, loitering on the 4400 block of north Magnolia. The call came in at 10:52 pm.
An officer on the scene said there was no gun, and that the group was there to mourn the death of a fellow gang member; presumably, Aaron Carter.
However… moments later, at approximately 11:09 pm, another 911 call came in. This time, the caller said shots were fired on the 4400 block of north Malden.
The same officer who responded to the Magnolia call, said he didn't hear any shots.
