303 Shootings: A Typical July in Chicago

According to a recent Chicago Tribune article, last month’s 303 shootings, is nothing short of a typical July in Chicago.

The piece, which was written by Annie Sweeney and  Cynthia Dizikes, also claims that shootings in black neighborhoods are “predictable“. A disturbing fact that can easily be backed-up by the plethora of “shots fired” calls, to 911; emanating from Chicago's south and west sides.

Based on the Tribune’s data, 1,089 people have been shot in Chicago, this year.
