UPDATE: 8:59 pm --- There are now 3 shooting victims. 2 victims are at Holy Cross and the 3rd is at an unknown medical facility. One male, shooting victim, was shot in the leg. The shooter is being described as African-American, young, and 6 feet tall.
8:47 pm --- A hysterical 911 caller reported 2 people shot at Marquette Park, on Chicago’s south side.
Sketchy 911 information indicated that the caller was also shot. An officer on the scene confirmed that at least one female victim, was indeed injured. The other shooting victim, reportedly drove himself to Holy Cross hospital, located at 2701 West 68th Street.
Nearly 40 minutes later, mainstream media picked up the story.
