Citing police dispatch reports, a black male, armed with a knife, robbed the North Side Dominick’s grocery store at 6009 North Broadway, around 2 p.m.
The offender jumped over the counter in the pharmacy department and robbed a cashier at knifepoint, said a responding officer.
At the time of this report, it was unclear if the robber took drugs or cash.
The suspect is approximately 30-years-old, 5’9” to six-feet tall, 160 to 180 pounds, with a medium complexion.
He was last seen wearing a plain white t-shirt, light-colored or gray blue jeans, and white gym shoes.
Yesterday, the Walgreens pharmacy at 1001 West Belmont was robbed by a man matching the Dominick's thief's description, said authorities.
The Walgreens robber is also in his 30s and has a teardrop tattoo under one of his eyes and a tattoo on his neck, said police.
If you see anyone in the area matching this description, contact police, immediately.
