Around 6:45 p.m., police were investigating two separate incidents at the Center on Halsted, 3656 North Halsted Street in Chicago's North Side Boystown neighborhood.
At least one ambulance was called to the scene, and a male offender, involved in an unrelated incident, was being held by CoH staff members for flashing gang signs.
Can anyone out there fill in the blanks?
UPDATE: At approximately 8:06 p.m., an off-duty Chicago police officer maced someone at the Center on Halsted, according to police dispatch reports.
Officers were called to back up the off-duty cop.
No further details are available.
I just posted this info on another thread. I don't know the full details but there was definitely another incident outside the COH tonight! Police, fire, and paramedics were on the scene around 7pm. From what I gathered, a middle-aged black man was attacked by a very angry, ass-kicking female. Apparently the female aggressor wore boots and stomped the small man and either broke his ribs or caused him to have an asthma attack. He could not stand upright when I saw him and paramedics took him to the hospital. I've seen the older man around COH many times, he hangs with that crowd frequently and probably pissed off one of the women in the group. I didn't see the accused female, but I don't think she was a tranny because everyone referred to her as a "she" that was talking about the incident.

I've got more information: the female attacker was indeed a tranny, she started the fight, and she had a warrant out for her arrest too.
ReplyDeleteBonus news: a tall black male got into an disagreement with security inside the COH lobby tonight at 8 pm. He stood up and deliberately knocked over the cash donation bin, and then fell to the ground convulsing. I thought he had been Tased but he was not. While some people were saying he had a history of faking seizures, others were saying it could be real. I did not stick around to find out.
Hopefully those youths will be OK, at that age, it may be difficult to recover from a chest injury...
