Woman tased after West Ridge car crash, police foot chase

According to police communications, at least two people were taken into custody following a police car chase and subsequent foot pursuit in Chicago’s North Side West Rogers Park neighborhood.

The drama started around 2:24 pm when an officer attempted to pull over an allegedly stolen vehicle.

During the pursuit, the suspects crashed their car into a city light pole on the 6300 block of North Talman Avenue, near Talman and Devon, said authorities.

Citing police dispatch reports, an eyewitness saw three males flee from the crash.

However, in addition to apprehending a male culprit, authorities also captured a female suspect, believed to have been in involved in the incident.

According to one source, the female suspect, who was captured in a nearby alley, was tasered and transported to Swedish Covenant Hospital in unknown condition. 

Around 3:05 pm., a second female was also arrested on the 6300 block of North Talman, but at the time of  this report, it was unclear if her arrest was related to the previous events.
