Woman injured in fall at Rogers Park train station

A woman, believed to be in her 20s, was injured after she fell off the platform and hit the tracks at a Far North Side train station.

The incident occurred at the CTA Red Line Howard “L”  at 7519 North Paulina Street in Rogers Park, around 10:34 p.m.

According to an officer at the scene, the woman was unresponsive and it appears she hit the 3rd rail.

Prior to authorities’ arrival, CTA cut the power to the tracks.

The injured woman was transported to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois, in unknown condition.
