Rogers Park: 2 women robbed during separate crimes

Two women were robbed during separate incidents in Chicago’s Far North Side, Rogers Park neighborhood, said police.

In the first robbery, police responded to the 1500 block of West Jarvis Avenue, around 12:30 a.m.

According to police dispatch, two black males in their 20s robbed a woman at gunpoint.

Both suspects are 5’9’ to 6-feet tall with dreadlocks and muscular builds.

The gunman has a light complexion and he was wearing a bandana in his hair, a white tank top, and baggy jeans.

The second suspect was wearing dark-colored clothing.

Investigators said the thieves stole the woman’s purse, her cell phone, and her MacBook Pro.

While authorities were busy canvassing the area for the suspects, a second victim was robbed at the CTA Morse Red Line station at 1358 West Morse Avenue, around 1 a.m.

The robber was described as a black male, about 5’9” with short hair.

The thief was last seen running eastbound on Farwell, presumably from Glenwood or Wayne Avenue.

At the time of this report, there was no indication any arrests had been made.
