1:25 a.m. - A lawnmower was stolen from a backyard at 800 West Wrightwood Avenue.
The offender was described as a black male wearing a backwards baseball cap.
The thief was last seen driving a white van westbound on Wrightwood.
1:49 a.m. - A homeless man threatened to shoot another man on the 2400 block of North Cannon Drive.
The offender was described a black man wearing a dark-colored jacket and red and white pants.
The suspect was last seen walking southbound on Stockton Drive, presumably from Fullerton Avenue.
1:56 a.m. - A man was arrested at Kasey's Tavern, 701 South Dearborn Street.
According to police dispatch reports, the man threw a bottle at a bartender.
3:22 a.m. - A woman on the 3200 block of North Racine Avenue claims she was sexually assaulted.
An unknown male offender came up behind her and touched her "private parts".
The suspect fled the scene in a vehicle.
The alleged victim gave police the getaway car's license plate information.
3:58 a.m. - A purse-snatcher tackled a woman and threw her to the ground near the intersection of North Racine and West Wrightwood Avenues, in Lincoln Park.
The offender, who attacked the woman from behind, was last seen running westbound on Wrightwood, said police.
Police said the victim was unable to describe the mugger.
Someone, presumably the victim, could be heard crying in the background over the police radio.
4:02 a.m. - A group of males were fighting with bottles outside the CTA, Armitage, Brown and Purple Lines station at 944 West Armitage Avenue, near Armitage and Sheffield.

ReplyDeleteWOW...unbleievable...this is the going to be the end of LP/LV...mark my words...this has happened in the past to other cities...when this kind of craziness goes on, most people move to the burbs (and commute to their jobs) or they find a way to leave the area entirely...
