A concerned citizen dialed 911 after allegedly spotting three men wanted for a recent CTA Red Line beating involving an iPhone.
At 10:55 p.m., a complainant saw several subjects matching the description of three men wanted for the Saturday, June 10, 2012, mob beating of a 23-year-old man near State and Lake.
The tipster said the men, whom he recognized from several news reports, were in a liquor store at the intersection of West Chicago Avenue and North State Street.
The closest liquor store in the area is Holiday Wines and Spirits at 6 West Chicago Avenue.
When police arrived at the scene, there was no one in the store matching the description of the wanted offenders.
The 911 call was coded as a 19-Boy (Other miscellaneous incident, no person found).
I really wish the photos were higher quality, its hard to make out details in that picture collage the police threw together.
ReplyDeleteThat's some real garbage looking types in those photos. Plenty more where that came from, unfortunately.
ReplyDeleteInteresting.
ReplyDeleteI saw a guy in a Reds cap on Michigan Ave. a couple days ago and wondered if it could be him, but I didn't remember his facial features and he was too far away to ID anyway.
Unfortunately there are about 400-500 of these idiots running around downtown every friday and saturday night! Keep away from downtown or any red line stops at night! the construction can't come soon enough
ReplyDeleteWhen are they going to start the red line construction?
ReplyDeleteAlso, wont these a-holes just take the CTA buses to get up here, instead of the train?
Trust me, all the times I've fought back against schvartzes with excessive force, if the popo didn't see me it didn't happen, I remain a free man. All us white boys look the same, anyways.
ReplyDeleteSame goes for them, they'll never get caught for this, but will eventually succumb to high-velocity lead poisoning.
