The theft occurred around 10:34 p.m. near West Addison and North Halsted Streets, according to police dispatch.
The closest parking garage in the area is Systems Parking, 808 West Addison Street.
Investigators said a black female in the company of several black males, snatched a woman’s cell phone and fled the scene in a black vehicle… possibly a Toyota Camry.
Police ran the car’s license plate, which belongs to a 1994 Ford station wagon from the South Side of Chicago.
At 10:41 p.m., police stopped a black Camry near Broadway and Roscoe.
At 10:50 p.m., police said the victim positively identified the occupants in the vehicle at Broadway and Roscoe as the offenders involved in the parking garage theft.
Three people were arrested at 610 West Roscoe.

ReplyDeletePBM @ 11:01 - if in fact that is "the GD police station's parking garage", why are they running through the gate at the exit all the time? There's usually that wooden "arm" lying on the sidewalk at least once a week.
ReplyDeleteOn a more positive note, I was waiting for the bus outside that police station about a month ago. This group of thugs and thugettes was suddenly swarmed by cops. Three cars pulled up, surrounded them, threw them all up against the cars, checked all their pockets, took all of their i.d.'s, threw some of them in the back of the cars, then let them go. Real quick. One of the ghetto babes turned to her soon to be babay dad and said "what the H just happened?". I had to laugh.
